By using this site or installing plugins we publish, you accept the following. We kept it short on purpose.

Who we are

Hyperfocus DSP is operated by an individual based in Spain, publicly known online as Hornfisk. Source code for our plugins is at github.com/Hornfisk. Contact: hello@hyperfocusdsp.com.

This page will be updated with a full registered business identity before any commercial product launches on this site.

What these terms cover

Three things: using this website, using the free plugins we distribute, and the relationship between us. Paid products, when we ship them, will have their own licence included with the purchase and those additional terms will take precedence for that product.

The plugins

Plugins released as free and open source are licensed under their respective open-source licences — SquelchBox, for example, is GPL-3.0-or-later. The licence text ships inside the download. You are free to use the plugins commercially, modify them, and redistribute them within the bounds of that licence. Read the licence file; it is short and it governs.

The Hyperfocus DSP name, logo, and mark are not part of that open-source grant. Do not ship a fork under the Hyperfocus DSP brand. Rename and re-mark it.

Acceptable use of this site

Don't do anything unlawful with it. Don't try to break, overload, or circumvent security of the site or the download infrastructure. Don't scrape the newsletter list. Don't sign other people up.

Warranty and disclaimers

The free plugins and this site are provided "as is." We test what we ship, but we cannot promise it will work for every DAW on every machine. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer under Spanish or EU law. Those rights override anything written here that tries to restrict them.

Liability

We are a small independent studio. To the extent allowed by law, our liability for damages arising from the use of the free plugins or this site is limited to direct damages proven to be caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. We are not liable for lost sessions, lost projects, indirect damages, or consequential loss.

Save your DAW session before loading any plugin you have never run before — ours or anyone else's.

Links out

We occasionally link to external sites, source repositories, and third- party tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Privacy

How we handle data is documented on the privacy page. That page is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute we could not work out directly, the Spanish courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that grant you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

Changes

If we change these terms we bump the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the devlog. If you do not agree with an update, stop using the site.
